Step 2 – Whois Information
Whois Information Form
Please fill in the Whois Information for your selected domain name registration.
WHOIS (pronounced as the phrase “who is") is a query and response protocol that is widely used for querying databases that store the registered users or assignee’s of an Internet resource, such as a domain name, an IP address block or an autonomous system, but is also used for a wider range of other information. When it was created it was likened to the white pages of the internet. It contains things such as who the domain is registered with, name, address, phone number, email, and name server information.
Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) requires that every domain has up-to-date and valid WHOIS information. This is a general rule that applies also to non-ICANN TLDs (such as most of ccTLDs), although in the case of ICANN TLDs (such as .COM, .NET, and all the various new gTLDs.
